Cancer Awareness, Detection Camps

Cancer Awareness, Detection Camps : With the help of Tata Memorial Hospital, Indian Cancer Society and other NGO’s in Mumbai, cancer detection and blood donation camps have arranged.

Since 2004, Shraddha Foundation arranged 40 – 45 camps in the Mumbai region.  In addition to Mumbai, we have also arranged awareness and detection camps in Thane District and at Shirdi as well.

   

Please note that for giving free camps to the poor participants, Shraddha Foundation needs to spend around Rs.15000/- to Rs.20000/- per camp to make this as a successful event.”

   
   
Shelter Home for Cancer patients
This organization has realized the need of outstation patients those are coming to Mumbai for treatment. We are providing shelter home for poor and needy cancer patients either free or charging nominal cost towards accommodation.

At present we have two shelter homes at Shivdi and Chembur where we could provide accommodation for 12 patients and 12 attendants. Now we have purchased a flat near Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai where 8 patients and 8 attendants can be accommodated comfortably.
   
   
Guidance and financial assistance
Guidance and Financial Assistance : As the percentage of outstation patients coming for treatment to Mumbai is more. The guidance and financial assistance is the first necessity of these patients. Shraddha Foundation’s dedicated social workers are providing them proper guidance within the hospital and outside the hospital as well.  Financial assistance is also given to poor and needy cancer patients on recommendation from the Hospital Authority.
