Cancer Care....
Thousands of cancer patients comes to Mumbai for treatment are overburdened by the task of finding affordable accommodation in the metropolis. Realising this need, we provide shelter to poor and helpless cancer patients through four shelter homes in Mumbai at Parel, Chembur and 2 shelter homes at Kharghar, 5 Shelter homes at Bhubaneshwar.We have capacity to ¬accommodate about 200 patients and their attendants and having assisted more than thousands of patients since the inception.

Educational Support....
Shraddha Foundation helps underprivileged children and youth to fulfil their career dreams. Needy meritorious Students are given Financial Aid. Village youths are given free counselling for better career options and decisions.

Rural Development....
Shraddha Foundation has earlier taken initiatives to boost rural development, through a milk Co-op. Society in a remote village in Odisha.

Recent Events

Swachchata Bharat Divas Shraddha Foundation and AIIMS Bhubaneswar observed “Swachchata Bharat Divas”, on the theme “Swachchata Hi Seva Campaign", on the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Sastri on 2nd Oct 2024 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. This event organized under the leadership of Mr. Iswar Chandra Agasti, Chairman of Shraddha Foundation with all members of the Executive Committee, Volunteers of Shraddha Satwik Shelter Home & all invitees. On this occasion, a mass cleaning drive organized at the AIIMS Main Gate, followed by tree plantation and the Swachhata Pledge. Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar Dr. Ashutosh Biswas inaugurated this programme in presence of MS, Dean, Volunteers & Social Workers of Shraddha Foundation.

Events

Shraddha Foundation has taken a new initiative "Kosal Kreeda" for Youth Empowerment. Kosal Kreeda Athletic Team participated in District level competition. They have secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions and will participate in the State level meet next week.
Shubham is the Star Performer of "Kosal Kreeda."
 

Cancer Awareness

Objectives for Cancer Awareness

  • Create Cancer awareness and remove the stigma and fear attached.
  • Help people recognize the early signs and symptoms of cancer, thus enabling them to seek treatment at an early stage.
  • Educate people about the key risk factors, since more than 30% of cancer cases could be prevented by modifying lifestyle or avoiding the risk factors.
  • Inform people about the importance of regular screening and check-ups.
  • Inform women about mammograms, clinical breast exam and breast self-exam.
  • Inform women about Pap smear tests to check for signs of cervical cancer.
